IMGC Annual Conference Co-Chair

In the Spring of 2016, Purdue hosted the fourth annual Indiana Medieval Graduate Consortium Annual Conference: “Exploring the Premodern World.”  This two-day event included workshops, papers, creative works, & a keynote.  Paper Panels–delivered by several independent scholars and students from Purdue, IU-Bloomington, and UT-Arlington–covered a vast array of disciplines, places, and topics from the medieval and early modern periods, including work on “Amar Iyyar as a Trickster in Tilism-e-Hoshruba,” “Women’s Madness and Corporeality in Stuart England,” and even presentations on Purdue’s Latin Paleography Digital Humanities Project.  Additionally, the conference included professional development workshops on “Paleography,” led by Dr. Michael Johnston, & “Scholarly Publishing,” led by Dr. Dorsey Armstrong, editor of Arthuriana; a Creative Works Panel featuring poetry and fiction inspired by the premodern world; & a keynote by Dr. Richard Firth Green, OSU.
